I like to use Pinterest to collect ideas and inspiration for my books. Pinterest now allows sections inside boards, which is a great way to organize images for a book series. Each book then has its own board inside the main board. I like this feature a lot.
The Ravensmuir board now has a section for each book in that world, from the Rogues of Ravensmuir through the Jewels of Kinfairlie, the True Love Brides and the Brides of Inverfyre. There’s still lots of pinning to be done, as this board is a massive project, but you can check it out now.
The Champions of St. Euphemia have their own board, which is pretty much complete.
There’s also a board for Rogues & Angels, which is a work in progress.
Finally, I have a couple of general boards: there’s also one for the eye candy of Castles. Here’s Medieval Eye Candy, which started out with images from illuminated manuscripts but has become a catch-all of interesting medieval images.
Do you use Pinterest? What kind of images do you collect there?
The Runaway Bride is the second book in the Brides of Inverfyre series and…
IT’S ROSS’S BOOK!
I know a lot of you will be excited about that. Ross has been waiting a while for his story, but in Aoife, he’s met his match—and I think she was worth the wait.
Here’s the cover:
Aoife MacArthur is a beauty and a prize, an heiress who wants to marry for love—but her father has arranged her marriage to Nigel Armstrong, the oldest son and heir of the Hawk of Inverfyre. One look confirms that Nigel will never possess her heart—although his cousin, Ross of Kinfairlie, is another matter. Aoife knows she cannot escape her fate, but yearns for one last adventure: she will flee Inverfyre and hope that Ross will be sent in pursuit. She tells herself that one kiss will be sufficient…
Ross Lammergeier is a mercenary with a blade for hire, for he has not the coin to claim a bride. When his cousin’s betrothed flees, he lends chase, for the Hawk of Inverfyre trained him. Ross suspects that Nigel’s betrothed plays a game, but Aoife’s ploy is dangerous—for the treacherous MacLaren clan, always seeking to undermine Inverfyre, take her captive. In the course of rescuing Aoife and ensuring her safety, Ross finds himself captivated by the fierce and beautiful maiden. When they both surrender to temptation, their futures are changed—not least by the surprise attack of the MacLaren clan. How much will Ross surrender to guarantee Aoife’s safety? And how much will Aoife give to protect the man who has captured her heart?
