Updated Print Editions

This past month, I’ve updated the print interiors for the True Love Brides series of medieval Scottish romances. This is a job I’ve been meaning to do for quite a while. They were the only print editions in the Ravensmuir world that didn’t have the pretty illuminated caps at the beginning of each chapter – like this:

The Frost Maiden's Kiss, a medieval Scottish romance by Claire Delacroix, in its print editionWhen I set up a book interior for printing, I use a template, and the template that includes these pretty caps is different than the one I was using when the True Love Brides and the Champions of St. Euphemia series were first published. I redid the interiors for the Champions of St. Euphemia when the covers were updated and noticed that the page count with this template ended up being lower – that can mean (depending on the territory and portal) that the price of the print book is slightly lower. That was all the impetus I needed to update the True Love Brides, as well.

The Warrior’s Prize, for example, which is the longest of the four books, has gone from 356 pages to 326 pages. The books look the same on the outside, but they’re prettier inside. They might be a little cheaper, too. 🙂
