One Knight's Desire, book three of the Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix

When the grim Lord de Tulley bequests his legacy to his niece and decides to arrange her marriage, the maiden in question knows that no man of sense will decline such a rich prize of a bride. Her jest, undertaken to ensure her survival and ease an old man’s loneliness, has become deadly serious. To Heloise’s dismay, Tulley chooses Lothair the Viking as his successor. Lothair is unlike the other knights in his company—just as powerful and decisive as his fellows, quiet Lothair is also perceptive. His very presence makes Heloise’s heart flutter and not just because she fears he will uncover her deepest secret. A man of honor like Lothair can only reveal the truth to Tulley and Heloise dreads the result. Can she charm her taciturn betrothed for the greater good?

A warrior and a healer, Lothair is accustomed to being caught between objectives. Still, experience has not prepared him for the temptation of Lady Heloise, the beautiful niece of his overlord. The maiden’s very presence steals his wits and renders him mute, while her barest glance fills his heart with wild yearning.

When Lothair discovers that Heloise is not the maiden she pretends to be, he is once again snared—between honor and duty, his dawning love for his new wife, and the lady’s determination to keep her secret. Can he dare to trust the woman who has stolen his heart, or is he just a willing pawn to his lady? Can Heloise trust the knight who swears to defend her forever instead of fleeing—or will her past demand its due from both of them first?

A WINTER WISH (*mild) – Nadine Millard
Mariah Bolton is as headstrong as she is clever, as strong-willed as she is beautiful. She enjoys her life and, apart from a rather snobbish mama, she is happy with her lot. Imagine her consternation then when her world is turned upside down by the brooding and aloof Mr. Brandon Haverton!

The Beauty Bride is Free!

The Beauty Bride, book one of my Jewels of Kinfairlie series of medieval Scottish romances, is a free read through the end of December. If you haven’t come to Ravensmuir yet, here’s a gret chance to do so!

The Beauty Bride, #1 of the Jewels of Kinfairlie series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix

More cherished than gold are the Jewels of Kinfairlie, and only the worthiest may fight for their love…The Laird of Kinfairlie has unmarried sisters, each a gem in her own right. And he has no choice but to see them all wed in haste.

Lady Madeline’s heart is not for sale…especially not to a notorious outlaw like Rhys FitzHenry. Yet Madeline’s hand has been sold, to none other than this battle-weary warrior with a price on his head. A more dutiful maiden might cede to the Laird’s command and meekly accept her fate, but Madeline has never been obedient. She decides to run away, though she never dreams that Rhys will pursue her.

She does not expect this taciturn man to woo her with fanciful stories, much less that each of his enthralling tales will reveal a scar upon his shielded soul. She never imagines that a man like Rhys could imperil her own heart while revealing so little of his own feelings. When Rhys’ past threatens his future, Madeline takes a leap of faith. She dares to believe him innocent—and risks her own life to pursue a passion more priceless than the rarest gem.

My Quarterly Book Box at Ream

Bride Quest HC Book Club by Claire Delacroix available at Ream

Today, my Bride Quest book box is available for order at Ream.

Each quarter or so, I’ll offer a book box via Ream. This first one includes signed 25th anniversary commemorative hardcover editions of all six Bride Quest books. You can sign up for this tier – actually, there are two options, one with just the hard covers and one with the hard covers and the ebooks – from now through November 24. You’ll be billed three times, once each month for the price on the tier. (Once in November, once in December and once in January.) The books will ship in the new year, likely in February. It’s like an installment plan for the special editions, plus you’ll get your books signed and with goodies. These bundles won’t have as many goodies as the Kickstarter editions, just FYI, but it’s a second chance to get the signed editions.

How does Ream work? From the subscriber side, you have to create an account, then you have the option of setting your notifications and preferences. When you subscribe to a tier, you’ll be billed immediately for the first month. That day will become your billing date, and you’ll be billed every month on that date for that subscription, unless you choose to cancel it. Ream takes care of all sales taxes (which I love) so it’s possible that there will be sales tax on your subscriptions on top of the tier price. The prices are set in USD.

Sign up for the Bride Quest book box on my Claire Delacroix Ream page.
