One Knight’s Desire – Today!

One Knight’s Desire, book three of the Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances, is available today!

One Knight's Desire, book three of the Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix

When the grim Lord de Tulley bequests his legacy to his niece and decides to arrange her marriage, the maiden in question knows that no man of sense will decline such a rich prize of a bride. Her jest, undertaken to ensure her survival and ease an old man’s loneliness, has become deadly serious. To Heloise’s dismay, Tulley chooses Lothair the Viking as his successor. Lothair is unlike the other knights in his company—just as powerful and decisive as his fellows, quiet Lothair is also perceptive. His very presence makes Heloise’s heart flutter and not just because she fears he will uncover her deepest secret. A man of honor like Lothair can only reveal the truth to Tulley and Heloise dreads the result. Can she charm her taciturn betrothed for the greater good?

A warrior and a healer, Lothair is accustomed to being caught between objectives. Still, experience has not prepared him for the temptation of Lady Heloise, the beautiful niece of his overlord. The maiden’s very presence steals his wits and renders him mute, while her barest glance fills his heart with wild yearning.

When Lothair discovers that Heloise is not the maiden she pretends to be, he is once again snared—between honor and duty, his dawning love for his new wife, and the lady’s determination to keep her secret. Can he dare to trust the woman who has stolen his heart, or is he just a willing pawn to his lady? Can Heloise trust the knight who swears to defend her forever instead of fleeing—or will her past demand its due from both of them first?

Sorting Those Pre-Orders

Those of you in my Facebook group know that I’m moving away from assetless pre-orders for 2024. This means that my pre-orders will be shorter, because they’ll only be loaded once each book is done. The reasons for this are that the portals have been lengthening the time required to process a book file, and also that they sometimes muck up and deliver the wrong file. If they only get the final one, that can’t happen. The other issue with long pre-orders is that life happens, as it has for me lately, and differnet portals have different rules about moving the delivery date on a pre-order.

Last week, I sorted out the rest of 2023.

The Scot and the Sorceress, book four of the Blood Brothers trilogy by Claire Delacroix

The Scot & the Sorceress will now be published on August 29. This means that the existing pre-order at Amazon had to be cancelled (because it couldn’t be moved). If you had pre-ordered the book there, that pre-order has been cancelled. Right now, there’s no pre-order at Amazon. I’ll create a new one in August, once the book is done. As usual, there is no pre-order at GooglePlay. The book will be available there on the publication date. If yo upre-ordered at Nook or KOBO, you’ve probably received a message about the book’s new publication date.

Also, the pre-order link for Murdoch’s book at Apple has changed. I had set it up to deliver from Draft2Digital, but the first two books in the series are published directly to Apple and all books in the series have to reach the Apple store the same way for Apple to add them to a series page. I figured we’d just bite the bullet and change it over now.

There is also a new link for The Dragon & the Damsel for Apple for the same reason.

One Knight's Desire, book three of the Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix

One Knight’s Desire will now be published on October 24. For the same reason as with S&S, the existing pre-order at Amazon has been cancelled. and there will be a new one created closer to the publication date. If you had pre-ordered the book at Apple, Nook or KOBO, you’ve probably received a message about the changed date.

The pre-orders are up for both Christmas at Tullymullagh and Easter at Airdfinnan, both of which are done and will deliver on December 12. (Yay!)

My last release of the year will be The Stolen Bride in December. Phew!

In 2024, we’ll switch over to pre-orders when books are completed and this will all be so much simpler. Thanks for your patience!

More Books Enrolled in Kindle Unlimited

I’ve enrolled more books in Kindle Unlimited, so if you’re a KU subscriber, here’s your chance to binge-read!

These series were enrolled in KU at the beginning of the month:

The Bride Quest (including two boxed sets)

The Champions of St. Euphemia (including the boxed set)

The Rogues of Ravensmuir (including the boxed set)

As well as One Knight Enchanted, One Knight’s Return, Pearl Beyond Price and Unicorn Bride.

This week, I’ve added:

The Beauty Bride, #1 of the Jewels of Kinfairlie series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix
The Jewels of Kinfairlie
The Renegade's Heart, #1 of the True Love Brides series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix
The True Love Brides
The Mercenary's Bride, #1 of the Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances
The Brides of Inverfyre
The Last Highlander, a Scottish time travel romance and romantic comedy by Claire Delacroix

I also enrolled my Time Travel Romances.

Because everything is enrolled now, I could add the Boxed Sets.

As mentioned previously, Blood Brothers will not be enrolled in KU before the series is completed (and maybe not then.)

The Brides of North Barrows will not be enrolled in KU either, because those stories are included in anthologies that are in wide distribution.

Beguiled, a collection of short stories and romances by Deborah Cooke and Claire Delacroix

The only outlier at this point is Beguiled, my collection of short stories. Because The Ballad of Rosamunde is enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, Beguiled can’t be available at other retailers—but because the other stories are in wide distribution, Beguiled can’t be enrolled in KU. So, the ebook of Beguiled is available only at Amazon.
