The Wolf & the Witch, book one of the Blood Brothers trilogy of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix

Denied his rightful legacy, Maximilian de Vries devised a plan to avenge himself upon his father and see his own future secured. Allied with his two half-brothers, he descends upon ancient and mysterious Kilderrick, determined to seize the keep once promised to him, regardless of the price. A woman rumored to be a witch is the sole one bold enough to defy him but Maximilian has a solution—he will take her to wife, whether she be willing or nay, and seal his claim.

But this powerful warrior has yet to match wits with Alys Armstrong, a maiden with a thirst for vengeance and a fury that might exceed his own. Alys has no intention of capitulating to the proud and powerful rogue who stole everything from her—no matter how seductive his touch might be—and she does not share his compulsion to fight fair.

Bitter enemies from the outset, Maximilian and Alys’ match is a battle of wills. When passion flares, will either of them be able to resist temptation? And when Kilderrick itself is in peril, will they join forces to save the holding they each prize—and the unexpected love they value above all else?

New Editions of the Rogues of Ravensmuir Series

I’m updating the covers for all of the Ravensmuir books, and am starting with the Rogues of Ravensmuir. The new editions will be available in ebook, trade paperback and jacketed hardcover from retailers in February 2027. You can order copies early from me. I was planning to launch these at Kickstarter, but will offer them through my online store instead.

Let’s have a look:

The Rogue, book one of the Rogues of Ravensmuir series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix
The Scoundrel, book two of the Rogues of Ravensmuir series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix
The Warrior, book three of the Rogues of Ravensmuir series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix

These books are really pretty! As with the new editions of Blood Brothers, the Bride Quest and the Champions of St. Euphemia, we have new illustrations of the couples for each title. The illustration is on the case laminate of the hardcover, and it’s duplexed (printed on the inside) of the cover for the trade paperback.

Here’s the illustration for The Rogue:

Each print book has a chapter background which coordinates with the cover. Here’s a screenshot of the one for The Rogue:

And here’s The Scoundrel, first the new illustration, then the chapter background.

And finally for The Warrior:

These are really pretty books! I’ve ordered samples to show you, and will make a video when they arrive.

I’ve set up pre-orders in my online store for the ebooks of the new editions, which will ship automatically on July 1. You can see them here:

For the print editions, you have two choices. You can order any of the books individually and get your copy signed. If you order a set of three hardcovers at once, the store will offer free shipping for US and CA addresses, and I’ll order them in July.

Or you can order a complete set of all three to be drop-shipped to you if you live in Canada or the US. This saves you some money as well as getting the books to you early. I’ll also send you a signed bookplate for each book and a bookmark featuring the new covers. The shipping is free for US and CA addresses. I’ll leave the pre-order open until July 1, then I’ll order the books and this bundle will vanish.

This is my fake Kickstarter. 🙂 The idea is that as more people order, I’ll be able to add more goodies. I’d like to do postcards with the new illustrations, but we’ll need 15 backers for that to happen. Fingers crossed!

About BookFunnel

Many authors use BookFunnel to deliver digital content, particularly from their online stores. I do that, too. One reason is that BookFunnel makes it easy to link up automatic deliveries and another is that they have great support for end users. You can always ask them for help in getting your book file wherever you need it to be.

Here’s a bit you might not know. When you buy a book in an author’s online store and the delivery is made by BookFunnel, there’s a process: you complete the purchase in the online store, then you get an email from BookFunnel with a link to get your books.

Those emails can fail to be delivered, especially the first time they’re sent. They might go into your spam or promotions folder, for example. You can whitelist BookFunnel’s email address to try to prevent that (it’s help@bookfunnel.com) but there’s a better way.

It’s so easy. 🙂

Readers can create a free account at BookFunnel, which is then associated with a BookFunnel library.

Here’s the good bit – if you use the same email address when you shop, then BookFunnel will automatically put any books you buy into your BookFunnel library. You don’t need to get the email to click on the link to get your books. BookFunnel just pops them right in there.

And, even if you haven’t created a BookFunnel account in the past, if you’ve bought books using a single email address, that email addy already has a BookFunnel library associated with it, with all your purchases saved and waiting for you. How fabulous is that?

My Online Store is Stocked Up Again

My online store, Hazel & Honeysuckle Press, is open again, stocked up, and the links are rebuilt here on the website.

I do have some backlist print books to add to the store as well as some audiobook bundles, but that’s not a rush. You should find purple links everywhere here on the site, and links that work. 🙂

Phew! That’s a bit job done!
