New Covers for my Time Travels – and a Kickstarter

Just over two years ago, I decided that my time travels needed new covers. We did the new cover for The Last Highlander, then life happened and the rest of the project was put aside.

This fall, I returned to those details, got in touch with my designer, Elizabeth Mackey, and we finished the project. I’m really excited about these covers and that I can finally show them to you.

The new print editions will be on pre-order for October and the new ebooks will be published in October, too.

Here are the four covers together:

Once Upon a Kiss, a time travel romance by Claire Delacroix writing as Claire Cross, new cover
The Moonstone, a time travel romance by Claire Delacroix writing as Claire Cross, new cover
Love Potion #9, a time travel romance by Claire Delacroix writing as Claire Cross, new cover
The Last Highlander, a time travel romance by Claire Delacroix writing as Claire Cross, 2022 edition

I’ll be running a Kickstarter in January to launch these new editions. You can get your copies early, with a signed bookplate and tipsheet, and with other rewards, too. The Moonstone, Once Upon a Kiss and Love Potion #9 have new interiors, as well. The Kickstarter is for trade paperbacks and ebooks.

We launch on January 28. Click through to follow the campaign and be notified at launch.

KOBO Plus BookFair at BookFunnel

I’ve joined a few multi-author promotions at BookFunnel that feature books enrolled in KOBO Plus. KOBO Plus is a subscription program, similar to Kindle Unlimited, but the books don’t have to be available exclusively at KOBO to be a part of it. That makes it easier for more authors to include their books, which gives you more to read.

KOBO Plus BookFair at BookFunnel for December

The KOBO Plus Bookfair for December includes 100 titles, all enrolled in KOBO Plus. This promotion features mystery, sci-fi/fantasy and romance titles. There are bundles and individual titles. The two Bride Quest stories, Christmas at Tullymullagh and Easter at Airdfinnan have just been enrolled in KOBO Plus this month.

Visit the landing page here.

Here’s the page on the KOBO website about KOBO Plus. You can choose a subscription for ebooks, for audiobooks or for both.

Bride Quest Shorts are now in KOBO Plus!

This month, I have two new reads for you if you’re a KOBO Plus subscriber. Christmas at Tullymullagh and Easter at Airdfinnan are now enrolled in KOBO Plus.

Christmas at Tullymullagh is a Bride Quest story and #7 in the series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix

Five years after the end of The Heiress, the brothers Fitzgavin gather at Castle Tullymullagh with their wives and families to celebrate the Yule, and a gentle ghost seizes the opportunity to add to the good fortune of all.

This short story and epilogue to the Bride Quest I is available in ebook on its own, and is included in the new mass market paperback and hard cover editions of The Heiress. Although it actually occurs after events in The Countess, you don’t have to read Eglantine and Duncan’s story before this one.

This story is included in the new 25th Anniversary commemorative hard cover and mass market paperback editions of The Heiress.

Easter at Airdfinnan is an epilogue to the Bride Quest II trilogy, set six years after the end of The Temptress.

Six years after the end of The Temptress, the family have all been invited to Airdfinnan to celebrate Easter, as well as the knighting of Jacqueline and Angus’ oldest son Fergus. There’s also a betrothal planned between their oldest daughter, Annelise, and Rowan’s son, Nicholas. An arranged marriage between the pair might make sense, but more than one person in attendance is keeping quiet about their doubts. The mysterious vine that bloomed during Bayard’s courtship of Esmeraude is growing again, though, seemingly determined to ensure that the path of true love succeeds. Will Nicholas make a love match instead of an arranged marriage?

This novella and epilogue to the Bride Quest II is available in ebook on its own, and is included in the new mass market paperback and hard cover editions of The Temptress.

The Runaway Bride is 99cents!

This month, my medieval Scottish romance, The Runaway Bride, is discounted for the first time ever. Ross and Aiofe’s story is just 99 cents through the end of December. Remember that there’s a third book in this series, The Stolen Bride, and that you can read about Ross’s seven siblings in The Jewels of Kinfairlie series and The True Love Brides series.

The Runaway Bride, book #2 of the Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix

Aoife MacNeill is a beauty and a prize, a former heiress who wants to marry for love, but her father has arranged her marriage to Nigel Armstrong, the oldest son and heir of the Hawk of Inverfyre. One look confirms that Nigel will never possess her heart—although his cousin, Ross of Kinfairlie, is another matter. Aoife knows she cannot escape her fate, but yearns for one last adventure: she will flee Inverfyre and hope that Ross will be sent in pursuit. She tells herself that one kiss will be sufficient…

Ross of Kinfairlie is a mercenary with a blade for hire; a knight without the coin to claim a bride. When his cousin’s betrothed flees, he lends chase, for the Hawk of Inverfyre trained him. Ross suspects that Aiofe plays a game, but her ploy is dangerous—the treacherous MacLaren clan, always seeking to undermine Inverfyre, take her captive. In the course of rescuing Aoife and ensuring her safety, Ross finds himself captivated by the fierce and beautiful maiden. How much will Ross surrender to guarantee Aoife’s safety? And how much will Aoife offer to protect the man who has captured her heart?
