New Store Coming in 2024

In 2024, I’ll be launching my own online store. You might recall that I had a Selz store many years ago and closed it down. I’m excited that I’ll have a store again to market my books.

You’ll be able to buy signed paperbacks in the store, as well as ebooks. I plan to have some exclusive content in the store, too, and more.

As part of this transition, I’ll be removing my series boxed sets from sale at Amazon by the end of the year. They just don’t sell well there, possibly because they’re not displayed on the series pages. (At GooglePlay, where the bundles are displayed with the individual books, they sell quite well.) Beginning in the new year, you’ll be able to get a bundle for your Kindle by buying it in my online store.

I’ll also be able to offer discounts in the store. These will be included in my monthly newsletter, so if you haven’t subscribed to Knights & Rogues yet, you might want to do that now. (If you subscribe but don’t open your newsletters, you might want to change that, too!)

I’m really excited about the new store and can’t wait to show it to you.

First Illustration for the New Blood Brothers HardCover Editions

My next Kickstarter campaign will feature new hardcover editions of the four Blood Brothers medieval Scottish romances and will run in February 2024. The books are all available in ebook, in trade paperback and in large print hardcovers right now – plus the first two are available in audio. This KS campaign will focus on new signed hard cover editions with case laminate illustrations and more.

These will be advance copies at Kickstarter, too – the new hardcovers will be available at retailers in July 2024. They’re priced at $39.99 US for distribution.

We already had a peek at the dust jackets for the new editions in this blog post. (They’re also on the landing page for the Blood Brothers series.)

As with the new Bride Quest editions, these books will each have a new illustration of the couple on the case laminate. Here’s the first one completed, for The Hunter & the Heiress:

This image will wrap around the spine. Here’s a digital mock-up of how the book will look when printed, with the dust jacket on the left and the case laminate (which is underneath the dust jacket) on the right:

Isn’t it pretty? The dust jacket, btw, has the cover from the ebook on the inside front flap, so you’ll have both with this edition.

I’ll show you the others as we get them completed. There’s also a map for the series to be completed in January and some family trees, as well as more goodies for the campaign.

The preview page for the Blood Brothers campaign is live at Kickstarter now, and you can follow it to be notified when the campaign launches.

The Stolen Bride Publication Date

This morning, I moved the publication date for The Stolen Bride at all the portals to match the date at Amazon of February 27. The book is coming along well, but I want to have a little extra time. If you’ve pre-ordered the book, you’ll likely receive a message from your portal of choice about the change.

This is my last assetless pre-order. After this book is finished and published, I’ll be completing an entire book before loading it for pre-order at the portals, and will continue that way in future. So, there will be a little gap between The Stolen Bride and The Hellion’s Heart, but then we’ll be on the new track – and my life will be much MUCH less stressful.

I just love Evangeline and Ramsay together and I think you’re going to really enjoy this book. 🙂

The Stolen Bride, book three of the Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix

She will be no man’s prize….

Evangeline Armstrong is resolved to evade the strategic marriage arranged for her by her father, the Hawk of Inverfyre. She feigns compliance, intending to flee to the king’s court for protection once her party is away from Inverfyre. Instead, she is seized by Ramsay MacLaren, an outlaw and her father’s sworn enemy, and compelled to wed him.

Ramsay MacLaren owes a debt to the eldest daughter of the Hawk of Inverfyre, one he will never forget‚ just as he cannot forget the beguiling beauty who helped him escape her father’s dungeon. He has learned that no other woman can satisfy him, though he knows the Hawk would never allow their match. When Ramsay witnesses Evangeline’s departure with only a small party, he sees his chance and claims her for his own.

In morning’s light, Evangeline fears that Ramsay’s sweet words were solely to earn her capitulation—and support his claim to Inverfyre. All the same, she cannot regret the marvel of his touch. Does she dare to trust the warrior whose kiss ignites her very soul? For his part, Ramsay finds himself captivate by the woman he has taken to wife—even at the expense of his own plan for vengeance. Can he truly destroy all of import to her to avenge the past? When Ramsay is challenged by Evangeline’s wealthy betrothed, how can he choose between his vow to his family and the lady who holds his heart in thrall?

Evangeline and Ramsay’s story is coming February 27, 2024.

Coming Soon – The Stolen Bride

Next up on my release schedule is The Stolen Bride, Evangeline and Ramsay’s story and book #3 of the Brides of Inverfyre. This one has been pushed back a number of times but I’m working on it now. I plan to publish in January, but when I created the new pre-order at Amazon this week, I set it for February publication. This is because AMZ allows me to move publication dates up but not back. So, I’ll see where we’re at on January 1 with the plan of moving the AMZ date into January (because the book is done). If not and I’m way behind, then the other portals will let me move the date into February.

So, here’s the cover and the copy, with the shiny new AMZ link. This book will also be available in trade paperback and – as usual – the GooglePlay link will populate on the on-sale date.

One Knight’s Desire at Amazon

Lothair and Magdala’s book has a teeny tiny pre-order at Amazon. The book goes on sale Tuesday, but you can reserve your copy now!

One Knight's Desire, book three of the Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix

When the grim Lord de Tulley bequests his legacy to his niece and decides to arrange her marriage, the maiden in question knows that no man of sense will decline such a rich prize of a bride. Her jest, undertaken to ensure her survival and ease an old man’s loneliness, has become deadly serious. To Heloise’s dismay, Tulley chooses Lothair the Viking as his successor. Lothair is unlike the other knights in his company—just as powerful and decisive as his fellows, quiet Lothair is also perceptive. His very presence makes Heloise’s heart flutter and not just because she fears he will uncover her deepest secret. A man of honor like Lothair can only reveal the truth to Tulley and Heloise dreads the result. Can she charm her taciturn betrothed for the greater good?

A warrior and a healer, Lothair is accustomed to being caught between objectives. Still, experience has not prepared him for the temptation of Lady Heloise, the beautiful niece of his overlord. The maiden’s very presence steals his wits and renders him mute, while her barest glance fills his heart with wild yearning.

When Lothair discovers that Heloise is not the maiden she pretends to be, he is once again snared—between honor and duty, his dawning love for his new wife, and the lady’s determination to keep her secret. Can he dare to trust the woman who has stolen his heart, or is he just a willing pawn to his lady? Can Heloise trust the knight who swears to defend her forever instead of fleeing—or will her past demand its due from both of them first?

Coming November 14, 2023. Pre-order available at some portals:
