What’s next in my Regency world?

The Daughter's Disguise, book seven of the Ladies' Essential Guide to the Art of Seduction series of Regency romances by Claire Delacroix

The duke and Esmeralda’s story brings many ongoing story threads to a close but as mentioned yesterday, I have a Big Finish in mind for this series.

Actually, it’s Esmeralda’s idea – she has insisted that Ophelia Pearl, the actress, deserves her own HEA. Ophelia’s romance will be a Christmas story called The Daughter’s Disguise, a holiday romp filled with the mistaken identities, disguises and secrets that have come to characterize this series.

At this point, I don’t have a publication date for the book, though it has a cover and a landing page here on the site: my schedule is quite booked this year (although Esmeralda is dismissive of that) so I’ll write the book before listing it for pre-order.

I also am thinking of running a Kickstarter campaign with special print editions of this series, with new covers. The Daughter’s Disguise would then be available first at Kickstarter and later at the retail portals. I think this series would lend itself well to character illustrations and pretty books.

Esmeralda has more ideas for the future (she believes sleep is over-rated) but we’ll save them for the moment, at least until I make more progress on her list so far.

New Bookmarks for my Time Travel Romances

I’ve added a new bookmark for my time travel and magical romances for backers of my Kickstarter campaign!

On the front of the bookmark, the stars and my name will be in silver foil. On the reverse side, the titles of the four books, the stars and the type below the books will be in foil.

Backers of the trade paperback copy of Love Potion #9 will get a bookmark mailed to them along with their signed bookplate. Backers of tiers including all four trade paperbacks will get two bookmarks along with their signed bookplates.

This current Kickstarter campaign features the new edition of Love Potion #9, and you can also order the new ebook or trade paperback of Once Upon a Kiss, The Moonstone and The Last Highlander. The new editions are available for pre-order at retailers for October delivery, but backers of the campaign will get their copies early.

In addition, each book ordered through the campaign has a coordinating tip sheet, which will be added to the front of the book, and a bookplate – the books will ship directly from the printer, and I’ll sign and mail the bookplates separately.

There are other rewards exclusive to the campaign, like a limited number of vellum inserts featuring the original cover art for Love Potion #9 by Judy York.

This tier sold out quickly, so I’ve added five more rewards with the vellum insert. This insert will only be available at Kickstarter.

There’s also a downloadable tarot deck to print and color, available to all backers.

Woo-hoo! I launched the Kickstarter campaign for the new editions of my time travel romances yesterday and it’s vastly exceeded my expectations! We’re off to a great start, so be sure you don’t miss out.

The campaign features the new edition of Love Potion #9, and you can also order the new ebook or trade paperback of Once Upon a Kiss, The Moonstone and The Last Highlander. Coming to Kickstarter in 2025

I’ll be creating pretty new hardcover editions of The Champions of St. Euphemia series of medieval romances in 2025. (Things are in the works now!) They’ll be available first at Kickstarter, with some fun swag, then subsequently will be exclusive to Kickstarter and my online store. One of the additions to the series will be a map, which I’m very excited about. (I love maps.)

Coming to Kickstarter in 2025, new special edition hardcovers of The Champions of St. Euphemia!

You’ll also be able to order other special edition hardcovers from previous Kickstarter campaigns in this campaign – for The Bride Quest and for Blood Brothers.
