New Stretch Goal
As you know, the Kickstarter campaign for the new editions of the Champions of St. Euphemia series (in ebook, trade paperback and hardcover) is running through the end of July. This is your chance to get the new Reader Companion, included as a digital reward with all reward tiers. Other downloadable rewards for all backers include the new series map, ten family trees and a set of five colouring pages.
Today, I’ve added a physical stretch goal. When we reach the goal, this set of five full colour 5″ x 7″ postcards will be added to the reward tiers that include all five books in paperback or hardcover, as well as the new reward tier for the Reader Companion in trade paperback with swag. (If the reward tier includes a foiled bookmark, these postcards will be added to it.
This reward unlocks when the campaign reaches $7000 CAD overall funding. That’s not very far away!

Five Storylines
The Champions of St. Euphemia series features five medieval romances, as well as an over-arching quest to deliver a secret Templar treasure to Paris.
The Crusader’s Bride, the first book in the series. features a marriage of convenience between a former Templar knight (now in need of a son and heir) and a widowed pilgrim down on her luck. Gaston and Ysmaine know very little about each other when they join their lives together, but quickly learn to admire the other and fall in love.
Book two, The Crusader’s Heart, is a fling to forever romance of reluctant allies – who prove to be perfectly suited for each other. Christina is a reluctant courtesan, seeking some way to return home to her former life. Wulfe is a Templar knight with no interest in bonds beyond his obligation to the order itself. But when they’re attacked in the night, Christina realizes she’s found the protector she needs – all she has to do is convince Wulfe that he should take her along when his party leaves Venice behind.

Book three, The Crusader’s Kiss, features another pair of reluctant allies who pretend to be married to gain their objectives – but find so much more as they unravel each other’s secrets. Bartholomew and Anna’s story is a tale of disguises and a hidden heir, of family lost and found, along with a lot of action, adventure and fun.
Book four, The Crusader’s Vow, features another marriage of convenience, this time between friends of different backgrounds. When Fergus reaches home to learn that his betrothed has married another, he decides the best choice is to protect his friend Leila from unwanted suitors. Their match soon becomes more than a friendship, though each are convinced the other’s heart is unavailable. I love how they both learned to take a chance and share their feelings, thus earning their HEA.
Book five, The Crusader’s Handfast, does more than tie up all the loose ends of the adventure. It’s a May-December romance between two characters who step up and solve issues as they arise – and who captivate each other. Radegunde sees the kind of principled warrior she admires most in Duncan, while Duncan is persuaded to take a chance on love again with the cheerful and persistent maid (who won’t take no for an answer). I love these two together!

Champions Pre-Orders at H&H
I have put up the pre-orders for the special editions of The Champions of St. Euphemia, and the new Reader Companion, at my online store, Hazel & Honeysuckle Press.
These books begin to deliver from the store in February 2026.
You can pre-order them for pick up at the Pages & Pleasures event in Kitchener next spring, as well.
Of course, if you’d like them sooner (even to pick up at Ignited by Books Author Event in the fall) you can order them through the Kickstarter campaign that will run through the end of July – and you’ll get extra goodies through the campaign, too.
Five Trade Paperbacks
The first set of special edition trade paperbacks for the Champions of St. Euphemia have arrived, so today we’ll have a look at them.
As well as the new covers, these editions feature a duplexed cover with the illustration from the current retail editions printed on the inside of the cover. They also include the new series map and background images on the chapters.
These trade paperbacks are available through my current Kickstarter campaign, which runs until the end of the month. After that, you’ll be able to order them in my online store for delivery after February 2026 or for pick-up at in-person events after February. They live on the Champions page in my online store.
Backers of the Kickstarter campaign get a lot of bonus goodies along with their books. First, there’s the digital download of the new Reader Companion for all backers, as well as the downloadable map, ten downloadable family trees and five downloadable colouring pages.
Backers of the print editions will get a signed bookplate for each book ordered, as well as a luxe foil bookmark and a set of stickers featuring the illustrations.
I’ve also added a tier to get just the print goodies – the stickers and the bookmark – along with the trade paperback version of the Reader Companion. It’s available as a reward, or as an add-on, if you choose a single book.
The printer sent me a notification that the hard covers shipped at the end of last week, so I should be able to show them to you soon. 🙂
The Kickstarter campaign runs through July 31 and has funded. Don’t miss out on the extra goodies for backers!
