New Blood Brothers HardCover Editions

My next Kickstarter campaign will feature new hardcover editions of the four Blood Brothers medieval Scottish romances. It will launch on February 13 and run through the 24th.

As you know, the books are all available in ebook, in trade paperback and in large print hardcovers right now – plus the first two are available in audio. I’ve been able to simplify this campaign since I have a better idea what you all like. 🙂 We’ll focus on the signed books this time.

I’ll show you the new covers when they’re done – they’ll have couples on the case laminate and no people on the dust jacket. There will be postcards of the new images, coloring pages, stickers and a MAP, as well as a Blood Brothers world guide in ebook. The Early Bird special is a set of four vellum inserts, one for each book, that go along with the set of signed copies of all four new hardcovers. The vellum images will be the cover art from the current trade paperbacks.

I’ve been updating the site and configuring my online Store. I’m still working on the update of individual book pages, but there are some items for sale already.

For each item, you’ll be taken to Paypal to pay for your order. You can use credit cards there or your Paypal account. When you buy books from me, I’ll include swag with it. For ebooks, after payment, you’ll be directed to BookFunnel to download your ebook.

  1. You can buy individual signed books from me. The links will be on each book page, posted in USD and will include the postage to US and Canadian addresses. You can see a typical buy button on the page for One Knight Enchanted.
  2. You can buy an entire series of books in print from me and you’ll get them signed. When you buy multiple books at the same time, you’ll save on the postage price. The series bundles will live on the series page – you can see a typical buy link on the Bride Quest page.
  3. You can buy ebook bundles directly from me – when you do, your ebook will be delivered by BookFunnel. Many of these bundles are available exclusively from me. You’ll find them in the Store.
  4. Soon, you’ll be able to buy audiobooks directly from me. Stay tuned for that!

Website Update

I’m doing an update on my websites this month, and hope to get it done by the end of September.

The first phase involves updating to a new editor from WordPress, which will make the content easier to read (especially on your phone).

Concurrent with that, I’m adding cute little buy buttons (!) as well as the option of buying signed print books directly from me. This editor also has a neat option for sharing audiobook samples, which I’ll use when there is an audiobook available.

You can see what the new pages will look like on the only one I’ve done on this site so far — One Knight Enchanted.

Each individual book page will include buy links for individual signed books and series bundles – which make more sense, given the cost of postage. As on my other sites, I’ll put the series bundles of print books on the Store tab.

After I get the update done, I’ll dig out my inventory of books and add more options. I know, for example, that I still have some mass market paperbacks of the Rogues of Ravensmuir, and maybe a few Bride Quest books, too.

Of course, you can always order bookplates from me for free. 🙂

Buy Signed Books

My current solution is a little feature called Simple Payments, which I’ve installed on my main website only.

You can hop over there to the Claire Delacroix page to see some of the books I have available for sale. I have many more, of course, but thought I’d start with series bundles as the postage isn’t as daunting. If there’s a specific book you’re looking for, leave me a message on that page (or email me at deborah AT deborahcooke DOT com) and we’ll work it out. The postage estimates are for shipping to the US or Canada. If you live elsewhere, please also send me a message and we’ll work it out.
