The Mercenary’s Bride in Audio

The Mercenary's Bride, book one of the Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix, in audio

The Mercenary’s Bride, book one of the Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances, is coming in audio!

This medieval Christmas novella has been narrated by Tim Campbell and is on its way to retailers now. I’ll add buy links to the Audio page for the Brides of Inverfyre as they go live, but you can listen to a sample right now.

New Covers for Blood Brothers Trilogy

I decided to try something different for my upcoming medieval romance trilogy – or to return to something I did in the past. 🙂 Instead of having couples on the covers, I’ve had the covers for these three books redone with the hero alone. This often works well for my books because I write hero-focused stories and we’ll see how it works this time.

Here are the new covers for Blood Brothers:

The Wolf & the Witch is the first book, coming next April. It’s up for pre-order at a number of portals now. I’ve already contracted with Tim Campbell for the audiobook, which will be available shortly after the ebook and print edition.

Historical Romance BookFunnel Promotion

Historical Romance Giveaway October 1 - 15 2020 at BookFunnel

I’m participating in a multi-author promotion at BookFunnel called the Historical Romance Giveaway. All of the participating authors are offering a free book in exchange for signing up for their newsletter. You’ll find The Crusader’s Bride as the free download if you sign up for my newsletter through the promotion.

There are a lot of new-to-me authors in this promotion, so have a look. You may find an interesting new read. This promotion runs from October 1 through October 15.

Here’s the landing page.

A New Checklist

I was inspired by an article last week about resources available on author websites, and have created a downloadable PDF. It’s a list of all my books, including the available formats, that you can print out. You can easily keep track of what you have and what you want this way.

Here’s a screenshot of the first page – right now it’s four pages long:

Editions with a red dot are no longer available new. Editions with a green dot are currently available (although they may not be available at all retailers.) There’s a list at the end of what my abbreviations for print editions mean, too.

If you’d like to download and print it, here’s the link.

Audiobooks Coming Soon

I’m excited to share with you that I’ve contracted with narrator Tim Campbell for two more audiobooks.

The Mercenary's Bride, book one of the Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix, in audio

First, I’m listening to his narration of The Mercenary’s Bride right now. Once I approve it, it will make its way to Audible, Amazon and Apple. I’m not sure how long that takes these days, so we’ll find out together. I’m so excited that he managed to squeeze in this project, as Quentin and Mhairi’s romance is a Christmas story. It’ll be great to have the audiobook available (fingers crossed) for the holiday season.

I should have a sample to share with you next week.

When you listen, remember that the Gaelic pronunciation of Mhairi is VAHree.

Next, in the effort to catch up and make audio production more concurrent with new book releases, Tim will record The Wolf & the Witch in May 2021. It’s not quite simultaneous production and publication, but it’s a lot closer to that ideal than I’ve been to date.

The Runaway Bride, book two of the Brides of Inverfyre series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix, in audio

Finally, Tim and I have contracted for production of The Runaway Bride in August 2021, so Ross and Aiofe’s story will be available next fall. We’ll be caught up with the Kinfairlie and Inverfyre books then, which is pretty cool.

We’ll see how things work out after that. I’d like Tim to finish the Blood Brothers trilogy (once I write it) and it’s possible that he could finish the Champions of St. Euphemia series for me. We’ll see how the next year goes, then make a plan for subsequent recordings. Right now, you audiobook fans have three new listens coming soon!
