The Twelve Days of Christmas 1.5

Twelve Days of Christmas Historical Romance Feature 2018

Christmas in the Scot's Arms by Julie JohnstoneChristmas in the Scot’s Arms
Highlander Vows #3
Julia Johnstone

Laird Liam MacLeod is not lacking for lasses that wish to marry him. As chief of one of the few remaining stable and wealthy clans in the Highlands, the scheming misses are more than plentiful—too plentiful, in fact, for a man who desires to marry for love. Given the opportunity to escape to London for the holidays, Liam takes it with a halfhearted expectation that perhaps English ladies will be different. But the calculating debutantes of the ton and their marriage-minded mamas leave him with little hope, until a chance encounter brings him face-to-face with a beautiful, witty lady who knows nothing about him.

Miss Cecelia Cartwright has an unfairly tattered reputation and the distasteful yet pressing need for a marriage of convenience. She’d frankly rather eat dirt, but when one’s family is on the verge of poverty, pride must fall by the wayside. But the day a handsome, honorable Scot comes to her aid, he awakens longings in Cecelia that she knows she cannot pursue.

Torn between her heart and her duty, Cecelia finds herself dancing at the very edge of impropriety that once before destroyed her good name. When her old suitor returns to Town, she must choose between the laird she loves and the duke who could save her family. Just when she thinks she knows what she ought to do, Liam reveals a secret that may well prove charming Scots are the most dangerous rogues of them all.

The Snow White Bride, #3 of the Jewels of Kinfairlie series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix

The Snow White Bride
The Jewels of Kinfairlie #3
Claire Delacroix

The Laird of Kinfairlie has helped his sisters, each a gem in her own right, to find husbands. Now the laird himself seeks to wed, and pins his hopes on The Snow White Bride.

Lady Eleanor knows better than to dream of romance and love. Married twice to secure her father’s alliances, she has learned that she is desirable only for her fortune. When the Laird of Kinfairlie’s sisters ask her to wed their brother, Alexander, Eleanor agrees, expecting only to save herself from danger.

But Alexander is like no man she’s known before, a man more interested in courting her smile than her obedience, a man who values her counsel as much as her newly awakened passion…and a man unaware that Eleanor is the key to a fortune that could ensure the future of everything he holds dear.

Now, ruthless enemies will stop at nothing to secure Eleanor’s capture. Will she dare to trust her new husband before it’s too late for her, for Alexander, and for Kinfairlie?

“Delacroix provides an excellent end to a terrifically captivating series.”—Booklist

“The Snow White Bride is a gripping story with an emotionally wounded yet wonderfully strong heroine. What a passionate, romantic read!”—Vanessa Kelly, one of Booklist’s new stars of historical romance

The Virtual Tour of Ravensmuir

Ravensmuir and Kinfairlie Tour by Claire DelacroixI turned on the virtual tour of Ravensmuir this morning. If you’ve subscribed, you’ll receive the first email today. (If you don’t see it, look in your spam folder.)

The idea of this tour is to give you a peek behind the scenes in the creation of each book set in the Ravensmuir world. The tour “visits” each one in turn and in order, starting with The Rogue. There’s “stop” – or an email message – once a week on the tour once you join. As well as more information about the book, there are discounts and links to other free resources. I think it’s fun and hope you do, too.

You can join the tour at any time. New subscribers will receive the first message after joining the tour. Everyone receives a message once a week until the tour is completed.

If you haven’t signed up for the virtual tour yet, you can do that right here.

Guided Tour of Ravensmuir

Ravensmuir and Kinfairlie Tour by Claire DelacroixI’m setting up a guided tour of the books set in the fictional medieval realm of Ravensmuir, Kinfairlie and Inverfyre. Each week you’ll receive an email featuring the next book in the series. You’ll get a peek behind the scenes at its creation and I’ll talk a bit about the historical details included in the book, and the characters. There will be links for the free downloads associated with the book, as well as discounts for you to buy books in my online store.

The tour will launch at the end of September, but you can sign up today, right here. Let’s take an armchair tour of my version of medieval Scotland together!
