New Store Coming in 2024

In 2024, I’ll be launching my own online store. You might recall that I had a Selz store many years ago and closed it down. I’m excited that I’ll have a store again to market my books.

You’ll be able to buy signed paperbacks in the store, as well as ebooks. I plan to have some exclusive content in the store, too, and more.

As part of this transition, I’ll be removing my series boxed sets from sale at Amazon by the end of the year. They just don’t sell well there, possibly because they’re not displayed on the series pages. (At GooglePlay, where the bundles are displayed with the individual books, they sell quite well.) Beginning in the new year, you’ll be able to get a bundle for your Kindle by buying it in my online store.

I’ll also be able to offer discounts in the store. These will be included in my monthly newsletter, so if you haven’t subscribed to Knights & Rogues yet, you might want to do that now. (If you subscribe but don’t open your newsletters, you might want to change that, too!)

I’m really excited about the new store and can’t wait to show it to you.

Patreon & Substack

Both Substack and Patreon are where creators can post essays or serialize their fiction – and readers can follow or subscribe to a creator’s feed. Many offer both a free feed and a paid one. It’s another way for creators to find readers – or for readers to find authors – so I’m experimenting with both.

I’ve started to post a monthly update on both Patreon and Substack, including what’s in the works for the month ahead for both of my author brands. It’s kind of a newsletter update and will likely evolve over time. I just posted the first one at both Patreon and Substack (and yes, the posts are the same.) There’s also a bit more of a peek behind the scenes here than in my newsletters. It also provides everything in a single post, like an executive summary for the month ahead. While both portals allow for paid content, my feed is currently free.

If a single monthly update on me and my books sounds good to you, you can follow me on Substack right here or you can read my August update on Patreon and follow me there.

A Couple of Newsletter Changes

Knights & Rogues newsletter for Claire Delacroix's medieval romances

I’ve decided this month to switch newsletter service providers. My current service has changed a number of things, so it’s time for a move. This means a bunch of work behind the scenes for me, but for you, there are two changes.

First, the Knights & Rogues newsletter will look a bit different. This new provider gears their templates toward phones, so the newsletter will look more graphic. I kind of like that. It looks fresher.

Secondly, I’ve turned off the tour for Ravensmuir & Kinfairlie for the moment. If you sign up now, your email will go into a holding file until I rebuild the tour at the new newsletter service and launch it again (probably not before the fall). If you’re already on the tour, it will continue to be delivered to you from the old newsletter service.

One thing this new service doesn’t do is allow me to send newsletters based on time zones. I like that feature, but not enough to stay at the current provider. So, depending where you are, the newsletter might drop during the night.

Another thing this new service lets you do is choose some preferences. I’ve set that up for you to tell me where you prefer to shop. That way, when there’s a special available at just one portal, I can tell the people most interested in it. So, when you get the first newsletter from the new service on April 6, please scroll down to the footer, click on Manage Preferences and tell me where you shop.

If you haven’t subscribed to Knights & Rogues yet, you can do that right here. That’s a sign-up at the new service. 🙂

Newsletter on the Move

I’m moving my newsletters to another service, so the sign-up link for Knights & Rogues has been updated. The newsletter alerts scheduled for the rest of this month will come from the old service, and the first newsletter from the new service will be sent April 6.

I haven’t moved the non-English newsletters yet. One step at a time!

If you haven’t signed up for Knights & Rogues yet, you can do that right here.
