The Crusader’s Bride is Back

Posted on January 8, 2018 by Deborah Cooke

Now that the Age of Chivalry boxed set is no longer available, The Crusader’s Bride is available for sale again. (It had to be exclusive to the boxed set for 90 days.) Gaston and Ysmaine’s story is enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, too.

Gaston battled for duty and honor—until his new wife tempted him to fight for her love.

When the Templar knight Gaston learns that he has inherited his father’s estate in France, he accepts one last quest for the order and agrees to deliver a package to Paris on his way home. A practical man, Gaston knows he has need of a wife and an heir, so when a lovely widowed noblewoman on pilgrimage snares his gaze, he believes he can see matters solved to their mutual convenience.

But Ysmaine is more than a pilgrim enduring bad luck. She has buried two husbands in rapid succession, both of whom died on her nuptial night, and believes herself cursed. Accepting this gruff knight seems doomed to result in his demise, but Gaston is dismissive of her warnings, and Ysmaine finds herself quickly wed again—this time to a man who is not only vital, but determined to survive.

Neither of them realize that Gaston’s errand is one of peril, for the package contains the treasure of the Templars—and some soul, either in their party or pursuing it, is intent upon claiming the prize at any cost. In a company of strangers with secrets, do they dare to trust each other and the love that dawns between them?

One Knight’s Return

Posted on January 2, 2018 by Deborah Cooke

One Knight's Return, #2 of the Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix The Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances continues with the tale of Quinn’s return home to Sayerne—and his arranged marriage by Lord de Tulley to the beautiful heiress Melissande d’Annossy. Too late Quinn discovers that his lady wife not only believes him to be the same manner of villain as his father, but that her heart is already lost to another man. Can this rough knight win his lady’s reluctant heart? Or is he doomed to lose her when her beloved returns?

Publication date TBD.

I’m not going to list this one for pre-order but will publish it when it’s ready to go. It’ll be available for two weeks through my online store and Amazon, then will be enrolled in Kindle Unlimited and be exclusive to Amazon.

An earlier version of this story was published as My Lady’s Champion.

The Plan for One Knight Enchanted

Posted on January 2, 2018 by Deborah Cooke

One Knight Enchanted, book #1 of my new Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances, will be published January 9 at Amazon.

The publication of this book is where marketing plans from 2017 collide with marketing plans for 2018. 🙂 Right now, One Knight Enchanted is set to go into Kindle Unlimited immediately, which was last year’s plan for historical romances. A number of you have contacted me, though, saying that you’d like to buy it at a portal other than Amazon. And my 2018 plan involves making my books available to you first through my online store, which can’t happen when a book is in Kindle Unlimited (because those books have to be available exclusively at Amazon.)

But I have a solution! On January 9, I’ll have the option to remove the book from Kindle Unlimited. I’m going to do that. I’ve also made it available to you today through my online store (as well as at Amazon) at the same price as Amazon. (Those are the rules). The delivery of sales from the online store will be handled by Book Funnel, so that you can be sure to get Rolfe and Annelise’s story onto your device of choice. You’ll have two weeks to buy the book in my online store. Then, on January 16, One Knight Enchanted will be enrolled in Kindle Unlimited. It’ll be available exclusively at Amazon from that point onward.

Pre-order eBook for January 9 delivery:

The Last Highlander is 99 cents!

My Scottish time travel romance is on sale for just 99 cents, this week only!

The Last Highlander, a Scottish time travel romance and romantic comedy by Claire Delacroix

Scotland, 1314: After the Scots reclaim Edinburgh Castle, Alasdair MacAuley only wants to celebrate. But the revels are interrupted by an old crone who claims the castle’s true owner is the legendary witch Morgaine le Fee. Dared by his fellow warriors to go meet the witch, Alasdair heads down a flight of stairs — and tumbles right into another century…

Scotland, 1998: American Morgan Lafayette is in Scotland to enjoy the history, not to ogle men in kilts. So when she stumbles upon a brawny man in a kilt, she is less than enthralled. She is certain he’s drunk for he claims Morgan is a powerful sorceress who has brought him to her magical kingdom! Despite her reluctance, she is intensely drawn to this handsome Highlander and the mystery surrounding him, a mystery that has the power to alter history — and her heart — forever…

Knights in Shining Armor Today!

Posted on December 26, 2017 by Deborah Cooke

Today’s the release day for my new boxed set of medieval romances!

Fall in love with three timeless heroes!

Knights in Shining Armor is a digital bundle available for a limited time. This bundle includes The Temptress, The Snow White Bride, and The Crusader’s Kiss.

In The Temptress, Bayard answers the challenge of a new Bride Quest and seeks to win Esmeraude’s hand in marriage at his grandmother’s insistence. He doesn’t expect this mysterious maiden to offer a riddle and a challenge, much less that she will seduce him soundly when they meet. Esmeraude captivates Bayard, which means he will do anything to win her heart—even hunt and conquer the villain determined to claim her by force.

In The Snow White Bride, Eleanor seeks refuge at Kinfairlie from the vengeance of her dead husband’s brother. A marriage of convenience to Alexander, Laird of Kinfairlie, seems too good an offer to be true. Though Eleanor has learned to be skeptical of men and their promises, Alexander never fails to fulfil his pledge—even when her past catches up with her and she thinks his love is lost forever, Alexander does not disappoint.

In The Crusader’s Kiss, Anna hopes for the return of the true heir to Haynesdale, believing that all will be well when that man claims the holding again. She never imagines that the handsome knight who defies her expectations could be the heir in disguise, much less that Bartholomew will make all her dreams come true—regardless of the threat to his own survival.

These three Knights in Shining Armor go above and beyond the expectations of their lady loves, to save the day and see love triumphant forevermore!

Available December 26, 2017 until March 25, 2018.
