Audiobooks Coming Soon

I’m excited to share with you that I’ve contracted with narrator Tim Campbell for two more audiobooks.

First, I’m listening to his narration of The Mercenary’s Bride right now. Once I approve it, it will make its way to Audible, Amazon and Apple. I’m not sure how long that takes these days, so we’ll find out together. I’m so excited that he managed to squeeze in this project, as Quentin and Mhairi’s romance is a Christmas story. It’ll be great to have the audiobook available (fingers crossed) for the holiday season.

I should have a sample to share with you next week.

When you listen, remember that the Gaelic pronunciation of Mhairi is VAHree.

Next, in the effort to catch up and make audio production more concurrent with new book releases, Tim will record The Wolf & the Witch in May 2021. It’s not quite simultaneous production and publication, but it’s a lot closer to that ideal than I’ve been to date.

Finally, Tim and I have contracted for production of The Runaway Bride in August 2021, so Ross and Aiofe’s story will be available next fall. We’ll be caught up with the Kinfairlie and Inverfyre books then, which is pretty cool.

We’ll see how things work out after that. I’d like Tim to finish the Blood Brothers trilogy (once I write it) and it’s possible that he could finish the Champions of St. Euphemia series for me. We’ll see how the next year goes, then make a plan for subsequent recordings. Right now, you audiobook fans have three new listens coming soon!

More Audiobooks

I produced a lot of audiobooks in a row, then stopped. Why? It was hard to promote them and I became overwhelmed. But I sorted out some distribution stuff (and am sorting out a bit more) and am looking at them again. There are some new promotional avenues, and I’m kind of excited about that. I know a lot of you love audiobooks.

I also found a fabulous new narrator. I’d been thinking about hiring a new-to-me male narrator for my series and listened to Tim Campbell, who narrates for Cynthia Wright (among many others). His audition blew me away, so we’re off.

He’s recording The Mercenary’s Bride right now. The stars aligned and he had time to squeeze it in this weekend, then he’s booked up. I feel very lucky and hope to be able to share a sample and buy links with you soon.

Here we go again!

Website Update

I’m doing an update on my websites this month, and hope to get it done by the end of September.

The first phase involves updating to a new editor from WordPress, which will make the content easier to read (especially on your phone).

One Knight Enchanted, #1 of the Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances by Claire Delacroix

Concurrent with that, I’m adding cute little buy buttons (!) as well as the option of buying signed print books directly from me. This editor also has a neat option for sharing audiobook samples, which I’ll use when there is an audiobook available.

You can see what the new pages will look like on the only one I’ve done on this site so far — One Knight Enchanted.

Each individual book page will include buy links for individual signed books and series bundles – which make more sense, given the cost of postage. As on my other sites, I’ll put the series bundles of print books on the Store tab.

After I get the update done, I’ll dig out my inventory of books and add more options. I know, for example, that I still have some mass market paperbacks of the Rogues of Ravensmuir, and maybe a few Bride Quest books, too.

Of course, you can always order bookplates from me for free. 🙂

One Knight’s Desire Cover Reveal

The Wolf & the Witch, book one of the Blood Brothers series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix Right now, I have a pre-order for The Wolf & the Witch, book one of my new medieval Scottish trilogy, Blood Brothers. I deliberately chose a date next spring, and am planning to have the book done early in the new year. I’ll put up the pre-order for the next book in the series when book one publishes.

In the meantime, I intend to work on a couple of books that need to be written, tucking them into the corners and spare days. (Yes, I’m hunting for those!)

The first is One Knight’s Desire, book three of my Rogues & Angels series of medieval romances.

This is Lothair and Heloise’s story, the mercenary and healer known as the Viking to his comrades and the beautiful heiress whose very presence overwhelms him. (If you haven’t read about the company of knights returning from crusade, you can do that right here.) Heloise is interested in the charming rogue Niall MacGillivray but her domineering uncle has other plans. Lothair finds himself caught between his responsibility to his comrade and to his reluctant lady wife. We’ll also get to see the other knights in the company of rogues and angels again.

While the first two books in the Rogues & Angels series were revisions of previously published works, this is an entirely new book.

One Knight’s Desire will be published in the fall of 2021 but there are some pre-orders available now. Here’s the working copy:

The Wolf & the Witch Cover Reveal

The Wolf & the Witch is the first book in a new medieval Scottish trilogy called Blood Brothers, which will be launching next April! I just love the cover and am really enjoying Max and Alys together.
