The Beauty Bride in Italian

This is the first translation that I’ve commissioned of my books and I’m pretty excited about it. The Italian edition of The Beauty Bride is called Un amore da Favola and it’s available now in ebook.

Last weekend, I attended the Romance Author Mastermind conference in Houston, hosted by Skye Warren. It was a terrific conference, and like all the best ones, it sent me home with a huge list of ideas.

Pearl Beyond Price, book two of the Unicorn Trilogy of medieval romances by Claire DelacroixOne of the things I realized that I’m under-utilizing – or maybe not using well at all! – is GoodReads. I think of it as a reader environment, where readers can talk about books with other readers. This is all good, but there are still things I can do there.

About once a year, I go into GR and update or correct the information about my books – the description, the ISBN’s and the series information, typically – but that has been the extend of my engagement in recent years. I’ve been lucky to have readers add my books for me there, but now I’m going to be more pro-active.

You can follow me at Goodreads. Here’s Claire’s profile on Goodreads. This blog posts automatically on that profile.

Right now, there’s only one upcoming book you can add. Here’s Pearl Beyond Price, coming December 31.

When I get a few minutes, I’ll add GR links to the individual book pages on my websites.

New Books2Read Audio Links

Draft2Digital has just added more functionality to their Books2Read Universal Links. I already like how B2R redirects Amazon links to reader locations, and how it provides a handy display of links to smaller and international stores. This week, however, they added audio links. This is really exciting because the audiobook links appear on the same page as the ebook links.

I’ve been populating my Books2Read pages with links for the most popular audio portals. I’ve also been adding Walmart links, which aren’t always connected – there could be three links for any given book (ebook, print and audio).

Here, for example is the Books2Read page for The Beauty Bride.
Books2Read Universal Link page for The Beauty Bride, book one of the Jewels of Kinfairlie series of medieval Scottish romances by Claire Delacroix(There’s no Walmart icon for the ebook, because The Beauty Bride is free right now and Walmart doesn’t stock free ebooks.)

If you click on the book cover, you’ll be taken to a detail page for that title, which looks like this:

And finally, if you go back to the top and click “See More by Claire Delacroix”, you’ll see a page of all my books, with a featured title at the top:

I think this is a pretty handy resource. In addition, if you create a free account with them, you can select your portal of choice and be taken straight to the book’s landing page at that portal every time.
